Wasp Interceptor Drone Wing
(Redirected from Wasp)

Fast and nimble, Wasp drones typically outnumber and easily swarm enemy fighter formations while their Stinger mines prevent stragglers from getting through. Faced with point-defense weaponry, their fragility begins to tell, but the lack of a pilot on board means losses are more easily absorbed. | ||

Notes
Between their speed, fragility and the proximity mine system the Wasp is best thought of as a loitering munition rather than a fighter in a traditional sense. A wing of Wasps flying into a wing of any other craft usually results in both evaporating instantly in a huge explosion - hovewer Wasps have no crew and take only 5 seconds to replace which means such trades are almost universally in their favour. If you're looking for a solution to enemy fighters on a budget it's hard to beat the Wasp.
