Beam weapons deal 10% more damage and deal hard flux to shields.

Reduces the portion of the range of beam weapons that is above 200 units by 50%. The base range is affected.

Interactions with other modifiers

The base range is reduced, thus percentage and multiplicative modifiers - such as from Integrated Targeting Unit, skills, or similar sources - apply to the reduced base value.

S-mod: Increases beam weapon damage by an additional 5%.

Notes

The math for beam range is 200 + 0.5 * (beam range - 200). What this means is the first 200 units of range are unaffected, then any extra range is cut in half. For instance, the phase lance has 600 range. The first 200 of that is unaffected, then the other 400 is cut in half, to 200, so the final range is 200 + 200, which is 400.
