Increases the range of ballistic and energy weapons by 35/50% for cruisers/capital ships.

Can not be installed on a frigate or a destroyer, and can not work in conjunction with incompatible with Integrated Targeting Unit.

Most ships install either an Integrated Targeting Unit or a Dedicated Targeting Core, with the exception of more specialized variants.

S-mod bonus: Increases the range bonus to 40% for cruisers and 60% for capital ships.

Notes

Inferior to Integrated Targeting Unit unless built-in with a story point, but unlocked at the start of the game, whereas Integrated Targeting Unit needs to be found.

Incompatible with Distributed Fire Control.
