Transtellar empire is possible only through an exceptional corps of officers and bureaucrats given authority over the resources of entire star systems. An established high command allows military operations to be organized and executed across the Sector.

–In-game description

The High Command industry can be built at any Colony by upgrading an existing Military Base. It can be optionally downgraded to a Military Base.

Construction

High Command costs 150,000¢ to be upgraded to and has an upgrade time of 120 days.

It will refund 112,500¢ when downgraded and 675,000¢ when shut down.

Upkeep

High Command has a base upkeep of 7,000¢ * (colony size - 2).

Effects

Produces the following patrol fleets:

  • Size 3: 1 light, 1 medium, 1 heavy
  • Size 4: 2 light, 2 medium, 1 heavy
  • Size 5: 2 light, 2 medium, 1 heavy
  • Size 6: 3 light, 3 medium, 2 heavy
  • Size 7: 3 light, 3 medium, 2 heavy
  • Size 8: 3 light, 4 medium, 3 heavy

  • Marines: equal to colony size

A shortage of Ship Hulls & Weapons reduces Fleet Size directly.

AI Cores

Military Base receives the following bonuses when assigned an AI Core:

Additional Buffs

In addition, a Cryoarithmetic Engine will increase fleet size by 25% on a hot planet, and by 100% on a planet with extreme heat. It will also increase Pather interest by 4.

A Story point Improvement adds 1 heavy patrol fleet.
