Low-tier and often technically defective - "export grade" - ship hulls and armaments which are sufficient to equip mercantile convoys and form basic system defense patrols. High-volume trade in top tier starship materiel is virtually non-existent across faction lines.

Ship Hulls & Weapons is a commodity in the Sector.

Unlike other commodities, Ship Hulls & Weapons do not exist as a physical item that can be carried in cargo. When carried in trade fleets, this commodity will be represented as a number of mothballed ships in the fleet.

Prices of ship hull & weapons doesn't seem to be affected by the surplus or deficit of the colony either. Likewise, the player can't take advantage or address surplus or deficit either, compared to conventional commodities.
