A dispersed, semi-autonomous network of small, hidden weapon installations which makes the prospect of a direct ground assault and even simple raids extremely costly to the attacker. Only overwhelming orbital bombardment or massively disproportionate active screening can suppress these defenses.

–In-game description

Ground Defences are a structure that can be built at any Colony. They may optionally be upgraded to Heavy Batteries.

Construction

Ground Defences cost 150,000¢ to construct and have a build time of 60 days.

It will refund 112,500¢ when shut down.

Upkeep

Ground Defenses have a base upkeep of 1,000¢ * (pop size - 2).

Effects

Shortages will reduce the ground force multiplier proportionally.

Production

Ground Defences do not produce any commodities.

Additional Buffs

Additionally, a Combat Drone Replicator can be added, multiplying Ground Defenses by x1.5. This will also increase Pather interest by 4.

A Story point Improvement multiplies Ground Defenses by x1.25.
