Low Tech doctrine emphasizes high armor and hull alongside a large amount of ballistic and missile weapon mounts per hull. Their hulls have high peak performance times, are cheap to maintain but suffer from low average speed and very poor flux systems (notably base flux dissipation).
The 'battle line' concept of low tech is the capacity of a fleet to create an imaginary line by which all enemies that cross will be met with overwhelming firepower.
