| An O-type star of extreme temperature, luminosity, mass, and volume. The supergiant star is sufficiently massive that it transitions smoothly from burning hydrogen to helium and onward. It is among the brightest candles, burning quickest and brightest before exploding as a supernova which may briefly outshine entire galaxies, bathing entire sectors in deadly radiation.
