• Each scavenging operation has a scavenging effectiveness which controls the amount of common commodities returned. This depends on:
  • Amount of crew and heavy machinery available
  • Salvaging skill
  • Ships with a Salvage Gantry
  • Debris field density
• The scavenging effectiveness does not affect drop chances of rare items such as AI Cores and Blueprints, although debris field density has an effect.
• Has a brief cooldown after use, and cannot be used when enemy fleets are tracking the player.
• Each Debris Field can only be scavenged once, regardless of its source.
• Effectively uselss in Hyperspace as Debris Fields cannot be spawned there.
