Generic missions
Generic Missions are missions that can be obtained in the bar or from contacts. They are randomly generated and can be done repeatedly.
Not all of them are actual tasks with a reward, some are trades or opportunities, such as buying a cheap old freighter or information about the location of a blueprint.

![]() |
Cheap Commodity | The player is offered to purchase a certain amount of a commodity, significantly below market prince and ignoring tariffs, either right here or at a different nearby market under the same Faction. |
![]() |
Procurement | The player is offered a mission.
The goal is to obtain and deliver a specified amount of a commodity either to the current or a nearby market. The player is not given the cargo - obtaining it is left up to the player. The underworld version has different dialogue, but is otherwise identical, and there is a chance that a pirate fleet will attack you later. |
Hand-me-down Freighter | The player is offered to purchase a freighter, roughly for 1/3 of its base price and ignoring tariffs.
The ship can be a Buffalo, Tarsus, Colossus, Wayfarer, or more rarely, Atlas, Gemini, or Mule (base or pirate).
![]() |
Disrupt Competitor | The player is offered a mission.
The goal is to raid a warehouse at a specified market. This is an "objective" raid, and performing it can hurt relations with the market's owner. There is a chance that a mercenary fleet will attack you later. |
![]() |
Commodity Production | The player is offered a mission.
The goal is to produce a specified amount of a specified commodity at a player-owned colony. The mission will always pick something that none of the colonies produce currently, if possible; if all possible commodities are being produced already, the mission will pick a random one, but the reward will be reduced to 1/5. After accepting the mission, the player will have a specified amount of time to set up the production. Once the commodity is being produced, the player will start receiving monthly payments. |
![]() |
Custom Production Contract | The player is offered to purchase custom production.
This works similarly to ordering it using an owned colony, but the price can greatly wary (underworld offers will overcharge, contact will give a discount depending on the relationship). Items will be delivered to the same market where the purchase was made, placed into the storage; it will be purchased for free if it isn't yet. Your own blueprints will always be available, but some variations will offer a selection of their own blueprints as well. |
![]() |
Pirate System Bounty | The player is offered a system bounty targeting a system that has a pirate base. It works identically to intel system bounties, offering a reward for every pirate ship destroyed in the system. |
Surplus Ship Hull | The player is offered to purchase a ship, roughly for 50% of the base price, ignoring the tariffs. The ship will be some kind of a combat ship used by the Faction.
![]() |
SpySat Deployment | The player is offered a mission.
The objective is to approach a point in the orbit of a specified planet (of a different faction) without being seen by any patrols (which most likely means with transponder off) and deploy a satellite. There is no relationship penalty with the target faction, provided the player is not caught. |
![]() |
Extraction | The player is offered a mission.
The objective is to retrieve a prisoner from the target market, in this case usually from a Pirate or Luddic Path market. There are two ways to handle this:
You'll need to return to the objective giver to finish the mission. |
![]() |
Bounty | There are two variations of his mission: military and underworld.
Military variant can send you after: Underworld variant will send you after a Trader or a Patrol fleet from one of the major Faction. In either case, the player is given three options, of which only one can be accepted:
The target fleet must be defeated, though you don't need to completely destroy it. This mission is very similar to a personal bounty; one important difference is that you are given a specific system where the target is, but not their location in the system, and locating the target in a large system can be difficult. |
![]() |
Smuggling | The player is offered a mission.
The objective is to transport a certain amount of illegal commodity to a different market, and dock to it with transponder off. |
![]() |
Disrupt Heavy Industry | The player is offered a mission.
The objective is to disrupt the Heavy Industry (or Orbital Works) on a specified market by raiding it for a specified number of days. |
![]() |
Disrupt Spaceport | The player is offered a mission.
The objective is to disrupt the Spaceport (or Megaport) on a specified market by raiding it for a specified number of days. |
![]() |
Tactically Bombard Colony | The player is offered a mission to tactically bombard a specified market.
A fleet may attack you later after finishing the mission. |
![]() |
Security Codes | The player is offered to buy security codes of a specified faction.
They have a limited duration (30-90 days), and can be used once to massively reduce marine casualties during a raid. |
Hijacking | The player is offered to steal a ship.
This is similar to Surplus Ship Hull, but the price is lower (around 1/3 of the base price), and you need to have a certain number of marines: 10 for a frigate, 20 for a destroyer, 50 for a cruiser, and 100 for a capital. This is not a raid, and has no risk of death or damage to relations - you just need to have that many marines.\
![]() |
Jailbreak | The player is offered a mission.
The objective is to retrieve a prisoner from the target market, in this case usually from one of the major Faction. There are two ways to handle this:
You'll need to return to the objective giver to finish the mission. |
![]() |
Dead Drop | The player is offered a mission to deliver an item to a specified location in an uninhabited system, without being seen while making the drop. A fleet may intercept you and request the item; they can offer you money, threaten you, or both. Accepting any will fail the mission. |
![]() |
Blueprint Intel | The player is offered a location of a blueprint for a certain price, depending on the type of the blueprint.
There will be several scavengers in the target system, but they are not necessarily hostile. If a scavenger fleet is the same size or bigger than the player fleet, they may interact with the player to threaten them, and will follow through on the threat if the player comes in contact with the scavenger fleet again. |
![]() |
Luddic Pilgrim Transport | The player is offered a mission to help transport Luddic Pilgrims to one of the 6 Luddic Shrines. There are 2 variations, a Luddic Pilgrim in fine robes and one in poor clothing. The one in fine robe will offer around 5,000−6,000¢ while the poor pilgrim would require charity. Both will also give a small Reputation bonus with the Luddic Church. These missions are most often found on Luddic Church worlds or worlds with a Luddic Shrine. |
Delivery | The player is offered a mission to help transport some commodities from the current world to another world. The commodity will always be one that's being produced by the colony and the destination will be a colony that demands the commodity.
Failing the delivery may result in a mercenary fleet sent after the player, and may require the player to give a security deposit equal to the delivered commodities' base value.unverified Note that the icon of the mission will that of the commodity in question.
![]() |
Raid Secret Outpost | The player is offered a mission to raid an outpost located on a designated planet, with the reward being the obtained commodities from the raid.
As of Version 0.97, this mission is completely bugged and will instead, designate the main gravity well of the system to be the location of the outpost instead of a planet. Interacting with the main gravity well will also fail to give any prompt to interact with an outpost, and neither does any of the planets location in the systems give a prompt either. Alex is well aware of this bug, and it will likely be fixed in the next patch. |
![]() |
Ruins Datacore Swap | The player is offered a mission to swap the datacore at a library located within the ruins of a designated planet. |
