What do you guys think about the new important pages layout? It obviously needs more and better pictures but I like it better honestly
Updating
The front page references an old version (0.7a) as the current version, and is protected so people can't fix this. Could an admin please unprotect it? - Histidine (talk) 05:19, May 14, 2017 (UTC)
I like the layout, but I'd like a few pages added to the main section:
- Add to Exploration: Sector, Sensors, Ship recovery, Survey, Sensor ghost, Exploration, Terrain, Distress Call, Transponder, & Objective
- Move The Core Worlds from Gameplay to exploration, and add Commander Creation, Skills, and Story point instead.
- Move Colony to Trading and rename it Economy: add Market condition, Industry, AI Cores, Credits,use Colony threats instead of crises until someone merges those, add Trade and move Market and Commodities from Trading.
- Add Officer to the Fleet section. And Raid or Piracy?
- Combat could cover Hull, Armor, Movement, Engines, Electronic Countermeasures, Phase Cloak, AI Behaviour, and maybe others. a 'ship stats' page seems to be in order because that's quite a lot. If ship stats was one thing, it would just be stats, movement, ai behaviour, raid and officer. Honestly a controls page would be good too if anyone feels up to it.
- ALl this leaves Major events pretty empty, especially if colony crises are moved to economy/trade/colony/whatever. Missions cover all of non-campaign missions (which could be a single page instead of links to a dozen), Story Missions and Generic Missions. The story missions belong in Major Events, and if you change it to just events you could get away with adding Pirate Base and Bountry, along with 'generic missions'
It might seem like I'm all suggestions and little actual editing, but I'm moving along at my own pace. LostSnuffkin (talk) 16:18, March 28, 2024 (UTC)
Pronouns
I feel like the "About Starsector" category could change to be a little more... Gender neutral. "with the player set to seek out glory and riches however he chooses." could very easily be changed to "with the player set to seek out glory and riches however they choose." without losing any quality.
