Horus Yaribay
Horus Yaribay is a patriarch of Gens Yaribay, one of the three great gens (extended families) of Kazeron in the Persean League.
Biography
Yaribay's eldest child was attending the Galatia Academy, but a scandal occurred which threatened expulsion. Provost Anahita Baird used the opportunity to blackmail Horus Yaribay into supplying diplomatic credentials that would enable the player character to meet with High Hegemon Baikal Daud and secure authorization for Gate experiments. Since gens Yaribay was known to desire League reconciliation with the Hegemony (a fact Daud attributes to the family holding major cross-faction investments but not a major stake in Kazeron's shipyards), their envoy visiting Daud would be believable to outside parties.
Yaribay asks the player character to give comms cryptokeys to Daud for private talks. Doing so will unlock him as a High importance contact.[1]
The player character may also misuse the Yaribay diplomatic credentials to get information on Mazalot during the mission "Knight Errant".[2]
Personality
Yaribay expresses the elitist views that might be expected of wealthy, powerful Kazeron aristocrats, but admits to an admiration of the "hive-scum" Daud who is nevertheless "clever" and "practical".[1]
