Brother Livewell Cotton is a notorious Luddic Path terrorist.
Biography
At one point in his life, Cotton was imprisoned and heard the music of the gates and motes. He "found the Path" on that day.[2]
In c.204, Cotton worked with the mercenary ship ISS Black Star to assassinate a researcher being transferred from the Persean League to the Tri-Tachyon Corporation.[3]
During the player character's investigation of Project Ziggurat, a rogue Knight of Ludd attempted to kill the player. Cotton either directed the Knight to do so[2] or merely discussed their "concerns" on the matter.[4]
Cotton later abducted the clone of Warlord Loke owned by the pirate warlord Jorien Kanta. Kanta sent the player character to retrieve the clone in exchange for the freedom of the engineer Elissa Zal. The player can rescue Zal directly, seize Loke from Cotton, or speak with Cotton and take Loke back peacefully.[2]
