Brother Livewell Cotton is a notorious Luddic Path terrorist and its current de facto leader.
Biography
At one point in his life, Cotton was imprisoned and heard the music of the gates and motes. He "found the Path" on that day.[2]
Some members of the Luddic Path believe Cotton to be a prophet akin to Ludd, due to his visions from his aforementioned "revelation".
In c+204, Cotton worked with the mercenary ship ISS Black Star to assassinate a researcher being transferred from the Persean League to the Tri-Tachyon Corporation.[3]
Interactions
Project Ziggurat
During the player's investigation of Project Ziggurat, a rogue Knight of Ludd attempted to kill the player. Cotton either directed the Knight to do so[2] or merely discussed their "concerns" on the matter.[4]
If the player obtains the Ziggurat meet Cotton in a special bar encounter where they can discuss the matter.
At The Gates
Cotton later abducted the clone of Warlord Loke owned by the Pirate Warlord Jorien Kanta. The player can choose to retrieve the clone from the Luddic Path on Epiphany for Kanta in exchange for the freedom of the engineer Elissa Zal.
While the player can rescue Zal directly or seize Loke from Cotton (both in a raid), but the player can meet-up with Cotton and be given Loke peacefully.[2]
