–In-Game Description

Transplutonic Ore is a relatively common material that can be found in rare ore deposits on all planet types, exception being Gas and Ice Giants.

Rare ore deposits are not guaranteed to appear on any planet types aside from Volcanic and Cryovolcanic planets, and typically in greater abundance than most other planets. In particular, Abundant, Rich, and Ultrarich rare ore deposits only appear on planets with any one of the following conditions: Tectonic Activity, Extreme Tectonic Activity, High Gravity, Very Hot, and Irradiated.

Toxic and Irradiated planets will contain Transplutonic Ore deposits more often than not, but can still not have any deposits.

Other planet types can host Transplutonic Ore, but it is not common, and those deposits are typically smaller.
