Luddic Path Base
A makeshift station, serving as a meeting place, base of operations, and a home to a fairly significant semi-permanent population | ||
–In-Game Description |
Luddic Path Bases are built by the Luddic Path in uninhabited star systems.
Overview
Bases have the basic functionality of a market and have a station for protection. Killing the station destroys the base, although a new base will spawn in time. Bases will always be found orbiting a planet or within a terrain feature such as an asteroid belt. The station is usually of the Low Tech type, but can sometimes be Midline or even High Tech.
Bases can target a specific world of their ire, turning the market condition Luddic Path Cells - Sleeper into Luddic Path Cells - Active, permanently reducing stability by -1
If a base is causing Luddic Path Cells - Active on a world and its location is not known (not shown in the Intel screen), the player can find it by going to a bar in the affected system. There will be an option to follow the "pather" into a back alley, which upon paying them 10,000¢ will reveal the base location. Factions will also sometimes issue bounties on Luddic Path bases, which reveals their location.
Being friendly with the Luddic Path does not reduce Luddic Path Cellsunverified.
Base Levels
Like Pirate Base, Luddic Path bases will become stronger overtime, going up to the level of a Battlestation even.
The major factions will often significantly higher bounties on Luddic Path bases than Pirate bases.
Tips & Tricks
- If you're having trouble finding a base, you can take over or destroy one of the star system's objectives (comm relay, nav buoy or sensor array), then wait for a Luddic Path fleet to check it out. Said fleet will usually come from the direction of the base.
