An autonomous AI fighter-bomber, the Flash carries an advanced phase proximity charge payload which employs the principles of the phase cloak to destructive ends.

Much like the Piranha, the Flash spews out a vast number of slow-moving munitions which blot out the battlefield. However, quite uniquely for a bomber, the Flash is able to fill a hybrid role. Proximity charges function as a point-defence solution, which often saturate the battlefield in your favour- due to each Flash being able to spew out 6 proximity bombs prior to re-arming. Flash Bombers are more than capable of defending themselves against enemy fighters, since even one proximity bomb can wipe out a full wing of Broadswords. As such, the Flash is a versatile bomber which can prove to be immensely powerful tool in a carrier-focused fleet, due to its high damage capabilities when adequately supported and its ability to protect larger ships from missile/fighter threats with proximity charges.
