Overview

Design Compromises is a built-in hullmod only available on the Anubis.

Notes

  • Design Compromises has some unusual or unlisted interactions with Converted Hangar:
    • Similarly to Vast Hangar, the penalties to fighter replacement time, rearming time, and fighter replacement rate changes do not apply.
    • Unlike Vast Hangar, the penalty to Deployment Point cost does apply, though the rules of its calculation are unusual:
      • If zero or one Fighter LPCs are installed, Converted Hangar only raises DP by 1.
      • If two Fighter LPCs are installed, only the fighter in the second LPC slot contributes to the DP penalty.
  • Design Compromises reduces the "nominal base values" of flux dissipation and capacity 40%, meaning flux costs that scale with the base flux capacity of the ship are also reduced.
    • On the Anubis, this reduces the flux cost of using Temporal Shell to 1800.
  • The flux dissipation and capacity reductions of Design Compromises are applied after all other flux calculations, including capacitors/vents, Flux Coil Adjunct/Flux Distributor, and Ordnance Expertise.
  • The "Weapon Flux / Sec" value displayed in the Refit screen does not account for Design Compromises doubling the flux generation of energy weapons.
